College Baseball Recruitment Beating the Odds is a guide to getting noticed by college coaches, earning your way on to a college baseball team, and succeeding at that college level. The author's first hand experience climbing the high school and college ranks is shown in this passionate, coarse, and straight forward account of how to get into college baseball. Any parent or player who has ever dreamed of playing baseball after high school and has no idea where to start in the process of recruitment should consider reading this manual. Told from the perspective of the athlete it is the first book of its kind to show the struggle of the athlete from the athlete's eyes. Other books written by scouts and coaches show the recruitment process from their angle often giving the reader minimal insight, but this book tells the story from all angles; the eyes of the player, the eyes of the coach, and the eyes of the scout.

For the price, it was interesting to read what one person's experience was. The author was a pitcher that was able to play in college and he gave tips and insight to the recruiting process mostly from a pitcher's perspective. I think parents and players would be interested to hear about college recruitment and be able to get a little something from this e-book. I went ahead and checked out a few more books at the library on recruitment that were more of what I was looking for...more nuts and bolts of regulations, insiders look into player recruitment and playing time expectations. The Author did beat the odds and his experience is promising to hear if your student athlete is not a top 50 ranked player but still wishes to continue to play baseball past High School.

College Baseball Recruitment Beating the Odds eBook Jake Koch Reviews
Being a dad who has had one son play ball as a four year starter in college and one being recruited now, this book contains information that will save you money and give you an idea of when and how you need to start the process. If you child has talent, buy this by his freshman year in high school. Like building your GPA it is never too soon to start.
my son is 16 and I have been reading 1/2 dozen of these college baseball books. many are good and often each one covers some of the same, but also different things to think about. The author was a college athlete and covers some of the mental game. He tells you what to expect and pitfalls to avoid in such chapters as "confidence vs. cockiness." Easy to read, quick to get through and I can even get my son to read it. Definitely worth the money.
